promises, promises......

We only have 940 Saturdays to be with our children from birth to age 18. Instead of getting too caught up with work or chores, spend time with them, for they are only little once. Then when they have grown, they will have many of those, "do you remember when...?" stories they can share with their own kids!!! Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!

  1. I still remember holding that little baby at birth, then watching her grow. Yes they do grow so fast. Cherish them is right, because my little girl died at the hands of a drunk driver the night of her prom. This was twelve years ago but stings like it was yesterday. Please everyone, love your children for they are so precious.

  2. I raised four kids, did the best I could by all of them. Although not spoiled, they also never went without. I was there at their games, their dances, their recitals, and now I have two adult kids not speaking to me, one who feels I did her wrong and the other who is taking her sister's side. So...yes they are precious but as they grow they have their own minds and will do what they please. I am so hurt about this rift in our relationship and pray they come back home some day.

I only wish I had a relationship with my ma....and now she is gone, so it goes both ways. Value the time you have with the ones you love is all I can say. To the man who was like a dad to me, I say, 'I love you, "poppa!" and to my gramma C. also, hugs to you!

  5. those parents who have sold out their kids lives for jobs, friends and recreation will never know what they have lost, until they no longer have it.
