one week later...
As the days go by, things are still in the air, people still hurt and the question of "why" runs through our minds. With that in mind, I leave you with this prayer, that you may find some peace in your soul:
Father, where can we turn when there are no answers? Where can we turn when we don’t know how to live with pain that makes it hard to breathe? Where do we turn to when our backs are against the wall? Where do we turn to when the deadline is fast approaching and deliverance seems unlikely? We turn to you Lord…for you are our only hope. You are the one, that men have turned to for thousands of years…your promises remain true for each of us as surely as they did then and we cling to that hope Lord. Father, God, so many here are needing miracles. We are pleading Lord God, please hear their prayers. When words fail us Lord, we seek your Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf. You know our hearts Lord. You know the needs. We ask that you hear the groaning’s of our heart and souls. After that, the next thing we to do Lord, is to recite your promises and all the things you are, to speak truth into our situations and circumstances.
So we remember now that your words says…
You will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help…
You will deliver us from our fears…
You will deliver us from our enemies…
You will protect us…
You are a refuge for the oppressed, and a stronghold in times of trouble…
When we walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive us…
You will supply all of our needs…
Lord, we cling to your promises and truths today. We are believing in faith that you hear our cries and that you see the tears. Not only are you seeing the tears, but you are collecting them in a bottle! You are intimately aware of our pain and needs. We are laying the fears and anxious thoughts at your feet and we are taking you at your word, Lord that you are near to the broken hearted. What we can’t do, you can and so we are coming at the end of ourselves and with empty hands and saying “fill us Father” and according to your will, may all the needs here be met Lord. In the name of our Savior we pray, Amen
Be encouraged, God is with you and knows your pain and your needs!
Blessings, love and hugs to you,
Reverend Baum
