A Starfish story
Sometimes when we allow the news reports to bring us to our knees in dismay, we feel that the world is going to hell and that nothing we do will make a difference.
I beg to differ.
In Wisconsin earlier this week, a little two year old boy went missing. Over 2500 volunteers arrived to help in the search. The town the family lived in has a population of about 400 folks....yet more than six times that many showed up. Although the story had a sad ending....I was impressed with how one little child, lost on a hot summer's eve, can bring about such kindness!
Beofre you feel as though there is nothing that you can do....look around you. There is much to be done.
So...what ARE you waiting for?
awesome perspective!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad week.... Heavy heart. The ONLY positive thing I can even try to see from this tragic story, is how Soooo many people, have joined together to help and show their love and support. We live in a pretty Evil, selfish world today. Everyone is so busy with life, we forget about our neighbors. So it is nice to at least see communities come together and help and lean on one another. Just sad it takes a tragedy like this to do so. My heart and prayers go out to the family of this precious lil guy, and EVERYONE this has effected. I believe this boy is at Peace and Safe with Jesus today. In that, I try to find comfort.
