just DO it!

Minnesota has seen dark, dreary weather for almost two weeks. Waiting each day for the weather report, only hear once again, "Cloudy with a chance of rain" began to wear thin on my nerves.

Yesterday the sun finally appeared! Oh how glorious THAT was! The warmth, the light, it truly renewed my soul.

Renewal. Now there's a word for you. To renew something means to bring it to a better or newer life. We look forward to Spring, when we can renew our homes, our yards and gardens. It is a time of being reborn!

So many have so much less in our world. It all comes down to perspective, but what you consider not enough, another may think that enough is plenty. Jesus admonished His followers that if you have more than you need, to share what you have with another who doesn't.

There have been two major hurricanes to hit the mainland USA in the past month. A lot of devastation and destruction and now, people have to begin again. Renewal. The one thing many people say is that at least they still have their pets...their photos...each other... those things cannot be replaced. To begin again on such a monumental level, however, it may seem like climbing Mount Everest to them right now.

I have been through enough upheaval in my own life, yet to undergo what these families must is something that I cannot comprehend. My message to you today is simply this: whether it be from a hurricane of Godly proportions or an upheaval on a smaller scale, people need people. Let's face it, we can't get through life on our own. We need others to help us out. Today (and every day) if you see need, please... don't turn away from it. You may just be that guardian angel someone needs. You don't have to jump in front of a moving truck or train, but to offer a smile, a hug, a kind word...how about some food, friendship...anything is better than nothing. A smile goes a long way to making everything--and everyONE--beautiful!
