what inspires you?



Is it a child in a chair? a good book? How about listening to good music? An opera? Some Mozart!  Eating a fresh plum in season! Walking with a best friend? An energetic walk around the park! Baby geese, a good book, a movie that makes you cry, the sight of someone you haven't seen in awhile....


Stop and think today, what inspires you to feel, really feel with your heart. Get into that moment, then just breathe and stay there. It really is like taking a mini vacation. We get so caught up on our Blackberries, e-mails, Facebook, cell phones...thanks or maybe, no thanks to technology, we are in constant contact with the outside world. It's hustle/bustle intrudes on our quiet time. It's no wonder our stress levels are higher. Cortisol levels increase, leading to more obesity, more heart disease, less sleeping time. There is a reason why God meant for us to rest...it is a commandment. God rested, why aren't we?

Beginning today, take time for YOU! A mini break, that will become a daily must-do...look at an encouraging picture, watch children interact, inhale the scent of a new baby. Just for today...and everyday!
