What matters is that we not point fingers and make judgments. Walk in the shoes of another and do what you can to change yourself. and for those who say, "do it or else God will get you..." I highly doubt it. I think God knows we try, we fail. What matters is that we keep trying!
when Jesus said, "your sins are forgiven you. Go and sin no more!" it was a directive...but we are weak and sin is strong. Instead of using punishment as a threat, i.e. "God will get you" or 'I hope God will forgive you," (so lame) we should just bless others, hold their hand and say, "You just need to stay focused on the task at hand." Because the ones we should hope for forgiveness for...is surprisingly enough--ourselves! To do otherwise is actually casting judgment on another. Believe it or not!
so true, Rev Brenda! I know that Rev Baum is taking a huge hit right now by folks who CLAIM to have her best interest at heart. What it really is, is that they have their own selfish interests at heart and are using manipulative measures to make her feel bad--power and control stuff. She is a kind, caring person, yet they say she is cold hearted. WOW!!! I know she has donated so much of her time to help other would be writers and they have seen success because of her. yet she took no money from them. I have seen her sacrifice a lot...I guess its like Jesus in a way....he was persecuted too, no matter what He did, it was never good enough! Let's all build each other up, as the Apostle Paul told us to! 1 Thessalonians 5:1 "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
