are you starting over?

But he [God] said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong, (2 Corinthians 12:9-10, NIV).

Starting over. It can be a new job, new relationship, new home, new location, a new...you name it....you're starting over. There is no doubt that it can be exciting in a scary way or scary in an exciting way or both--or neither! The butterflies well up, you panic...and when it is over you look back and think how it was so easy after all!

What if a new job was because an old one was lost, terminated or you just quit. Then what? In this economy, it is always best to hang onto what you have and glide into another position, rather than scramble and struggle. Less stress that way, right? But...Life doesn't always go according to OUR plan. And sometimes perhaps a vocation is such that the stress is no longer worth the fun it used to be once upon a time.  Losing oneself in the booze or feelings of pity sure don't help. Huge sigh...now what?

Well, what if you have a job interview today? You do not look forward to it. Perhaps you are feeling: Another job interview, another rejection. Who would want to get up for that kind of interview? What if this interview today not only led to a job, but to a job you would really like and a wonderful unfolding of your life? What if you worked because you like to rather than because you have to? What if the way you look at your daily life makes all the difference in the world?  So I am asking you now, What are you looking at? What are you thinking about? And if you can at this moment not think of anything to make you feel glad, then, in that case, think of something to add zip to someone else’s life. A flower, a word, a smile, a nod, a recognition. Enjoy someone else’s day then. And thank God, that you have the privilege to brighten someone else’s day, and do it.
Every journey begins with just one step. Don't look back at the past. It may be filled with mistakes, failure and woe. Look ahead tot he future. God will never let you down....ask in Faith for guidance, giving thanks in advance for what you will receive. I guarantee you, He will deliver you! You just need to look up in Faith!

Unless we tread that difficult path. Unless we try new things. Unless we are willing to try something different. There wouldn’t be any progress.

There is always a price to pay for anything. You either pay now and play later, or play now and pay later.

No pain, no gain!

  1. I have been up against it and come out the better for it. Many people choose to hide behind booze or drugs. That sh*t just makes it worse. You still wake up the next day with those problems. Better to face reality and get things done! Get it done, I say!
